The company was started in 1978, by Helen L. Moskovitz, DMCP, one of the hospitality industry’s most influential people named by Meeting News. The Key Event Group was founded in 1997, by Valerie Woodke Hershiser, CMP, DMCP and Mears White Fox, both formerly with Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center’s in-house destination management company.

The Key Event Group and Helen L. Moskovitz & Associates merged in 2002 creating the most experienced special event and destination management company in Nashville.
